21st William Kennedy Piping Festival - Armagh, Northern Ireland, 13-16 November 2014.

This year's Festival once again brought piping enthusiasts from all over the world to Armagh. The Piping Academy attracted pupils from as far afield as Canada & Japan as well as from most European countries and the team of elite pipers in charge of tuition have made it a major event in the international uilleann piping calendar.

The beautiful setting of St. Patrick's Church of Ireland Cathedral provided an amazing backdrop for the Uilleann Pipe Concert.

Once again the Hooley in the Marketplace was voted the No. 1 event by APC pupils, with The Mike McGoldrick Quartet and young band, Cúig, sharing the top spot. A feature of this year's Hooley was the contribution of APC pupils and teachers who provided some of the best music of the night.

Other events which attracted big audiences were the Poet, the Piper, the Painter, the Master & Apprentice, and the Singing Session. The Master & Apprentice concert was an unprecedented success at Áras na bPíobairí. Photographed here is Peter McKenna and Cillian Vallely at the concert.

Hundreds of children attended the schools concerts in Armagh & Tandragee as well as the Lá na mBunscoileanna & Lá na Meánscoileanna. Both La na Meanscoileanna and La na mBunscoileanna were great successes and Anne Martin one of the Scottish Gaidhlig tutors also took a highly successful Gaidhlig singing master class on the Saturday of the Festival

The Sessions held all over Armagh and Tandragee throughout the weekend were voted the best ever. Big thanks to all our funders, and to all the APC volunteers who worked so hard to make the 21st WKPF a success.
